If you have any questions about your equipment or your talking book service, please contact us at 1-800-562-8985 or email the Upper Peninsula Library for the Blind & Physically Handicapped.Your talking book machine remains the property of the Federal Government and has been loaned to you as an active library patron with this service. Please keep in mind that the machine may not be:
- Loaned to other individuals
- Sold or traded
- Thrown away or dismantled
Equipment Maintenance
To get the best, longest performance from your equipment, please follow the guidlines listed below:
- Please keep equipment in a clean, dry area
- For equipment with batteries, play the machine using battery power. When machine is not in use, or battery power is low, plug into an electrical outlet for charging.
Equipment Repair
If you have any problem with your talking book machine, please contact the Upper Peninsula Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped at 1-800-562-8985 for specific instructions on the return, replacement and repair of equipment.Please do not repair equipment yourself or take equipment to a local repair shop.
Notification of Service Changes
To ensure the quality of your talking book service, it is important to contact us as soon as possible if any of following should occur:

- You move out of state
- You move to a new address within the state
- You wish to cancel service
- Your name changes
- Your machine is not operating correctly
Notification of Surveys and Questionnaires
Occasionally, you will receive surveys or questionnaires about your talking book equipment or talking book service. Your prompt response to this correspondence is important to us in maintaining accurate library user records.
