| The Ambassador reading machine is a scanner with a built-in
voice synthesizer. The reading machine can scan print documents,
convert to text, and read the text aloud. A tape player is
provided so that people can scan recipes, knitting patterns, bills,
etc. and playback the recorded voice output at home.

The Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) enlarges printed material in color. A document is placed on the sliding underneath a camera. The enlarged picture is read from the monitor. Type size can be adjusted. |
