The River Cities Readers

The Spies Library Adult Reader's Theater Group - The River Cities Readers - has been reading to various groups for the past three years using materials supplied by the library, Dr. Carol Buege, member writing, and the internet.  Currently the group has about a dozen readers from the Tri-County area.

The scripts are read aloud with the audience picturing the action from what is being read.  It requires no sets, costumes, props, or memorized lines.  Performers bring the script alive by using vocal and facial expressions.

The group is looking for bookings from local clubs, organizations, school groups, and classes.  The Reader's Theater does not charge for performances, but welcomes any donation to cover expenses.  Programs can be of any length, but are usually about 30 minutes and may be styled to fit the groups needs.
