Peter White Public Library  hosts the Queen City Seed Library, housed in a vintage card catalog on our main floor, near the art prints collection.
The Seed Library is managed by individuals from Transition Marquette Seed Guild, MQT Growth, and representation from the MSU North Farm and Partridge Creek Farm. These groups work together to manage the seed library and organize seed saving events.
A binder on top of the cabinet explains the “check-out” procedure and a binder with seed saving reference materials is also available. Once seeds are planted, seed library patrons are encouraged to set aside a few plants with which to replenish the seeds that were "checked out" from the seed library. Patrons are also encouraged to attend the annual Seed Swap which is held in mid-March in the lower level of the library.

The Peter White Public Library is closed through May 28, 2020, due to state mandate. To contact library staff, email pwplworking@gmail.com or call (906)226-4303. For a list of FAQ's about the closure, click here.
