In the spotlight:  Vertigo Theatre presents Love Letters

This October, Vertigo Theatre invites the public to an evening of romance with A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters.  There will be three performances in the Peter White Public Library’s Community Room:  Thursday, October 26 @7:00pm; Friday, October 27 @7:00 pm; and Saturday, October 28 @2:00pm.  General seating, doors open 30 minutes prior to each performance.

Love Letters stars Jeff Spencer as Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Monica Nordeen as Melissa Gardner.  Childhood friends, they become romantically entangled over the years as they exchange letters throughout their lives, beginning with thank you notes and summer camp postcards, growing into informative letters sharing the details of their lives.  Although physically apart, they share a rare intimacy which is often funny, always touching.

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the circulation desk at the Peter White Public Library or over the phone by credit card at 906/228-9510.  Tickets may also be purchased at the door, cash only.

This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Peter White Public Library, the Carroll Paul Trust Fund of the Peter White Library, and the Iron Bay Restaurant & Drinkery.  For more information, visit or call 906/226-4318.
