Volunteers

As a volunteer at the Peter White Public Library, you can make a difference in your own life and in our community.  Dedicated volunteers provide services in the areas of:

Book Mending
Clerical Support for Administration
Garden/Houseplant Maintenance
Library Links Trainer
Shelf Straightening
Special Events

If you want to gain skills and work experience through a volunteer placement, please CHECK AVAILABLE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES, read the Volunteer Policy and download a Volunteer Application Form. Return the form to the Circulation Desk on the main floor of the library.

The following volunteer opportunities are currently available:

LIBRARY LINKS TRAINER (Train people how to use the library catalog and on-line resources)

The Library does not always have opportunities in all areas. We will keep your application on file for six months. Another opportunity to make a difference is to join the Friends of the Peter White Public Library.   For more information on volunteering at the Library, e-mail Claire Rose or call 906-228-9510.
