2/3 year-old Storytime, Mondays
June 11-July 30 @ 10:30 & 11:30 a.m. Community Room. Stories, songs, & fingerplays for 2 & 3 year-olds with caregivers.

 
4/5 year-old Storytime, Tuesdays
June 12-July 31 @ 1:00 p.m. Community Room. 
Stories, music, crafts for 4 and 5 year-olds. 

 
Summer Art Adventures, Thursdays
June 14-July 26 @ 1:00 p.m. Community Room. 
Stories & art projects for children kindergarten - 4th grade.

 
W.A.M. Walk-a-Mile Storytellers, Wednesdays
June 13 & 20 & July 18 @ 11 a.m. Youth Atrium. 
4th-8th graders. 
Prepare bedtime stories for Dreamtime Bedtime Stories on June 25 & July 23.
 
Dog Nights at the Library, Thursdays
June 14 - 28, July 12 - 25 @ 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
Children's Room.  Children are envited to practice reading to a certified therapy dog.

June 19:  Family Film, The Muppets
4:30 pm. Community Room. PG. 2011.
The Muppets reunite to state a telethon to save the Muppet Theater.

June 19 - July 30:  "Art Inspired by Dandelion Cottage" exhibition on display throughout PWPL and Marquette Arts & Culture Center.

June 20:  Dandelion Tea & Family Book Discussion of Dandelion Cottage by Carroll Watson Rankin.  2:00 pm. PWPL Huron Mountain Club Gallery.  Dress up in 1904 style!

June 25:  W.A.M. Storytellers Dreamtime Bedtime Stories.  7:00 pm. Shiras Room in front of the fireplace.  Come in pajamas!

June 26:  Bergonzi String Quartet, part of the Pine Mountain Music Festival, presents "Babar" followed by elephant crafts with Carolyn.  1:00 pm.  Community Room.

June 27:  Dandelion Cottage Day Crafts & Fun.  10:00 - 11:00 am.  Community Room.

June 29:  Laszlo Slomovits Family Concert. 1:00 pm.  Community Room.  Musical celebration for children and families!

July 9:  Dream Big - Build:  Youth ages 7 and up are invited to hear about the famed Watts Towers and then build their own!  6:30-8:00 pm. Community Room.

July 11:  Papa Crow Family Concert.  
3:00 pm. Community Room.  Original family solgs with movement and audience participation.

July 13:  Children's Film, Babe.
 1:00 pm. Community Room.  Watch the little pig who dreams of being more than bacon. B.Y.O. popcorn.!

July 18:  Family Film, Hugo. 4:30 pm.  Community Room. PG 2011.  An orphan living in a Paris train station is involved in a mystery about his father and an automaton.

July 19:  Dreamcatchers. Youth ages 8 and up create a dreamcatcher based on an Ojibwa legend.  6:30-7:30 pm.  Community Room.

July 20:  Animal Magic.  Mark Rosenthal, Nickeodeon's Michigan Entertainer of the Year presents sleeping and nocturnal animals from around the world.  Community Room. 10:00 am.

July 23:  W.A.M. Storytellers Dreamtime Bedtime Stories.  7:00 pm. Shiras Room in front of the fireplace.  Come in pajamas!

July 27:  Children's Film, Stuart Little.  
1:00 pm.  Community Room.  Enjoy the adventures of a small mouse adopted into a human family (with a cat!). B.Y.O. popcorn.!

 
August 3:  Reading logs Due at the Children's Desk by 6:00 pm..

August 7:  Ice Cream Social.  
6:30-7:30 pm.  Community Room.  DREAM BIG prizewinner revealed.  Ice cream sundaes for all.

 
August 9:  Family Film, Adventures of Tintin.  4:30 pm.  Community Room.  PG. 2011.  Tintin, a young reporter in pursuit of a good story, travels to find adventure.

August 23:  Family Film.  We Bought a Zoo.  4:30 pm.  Community Room. PG. 2011.  A family moves into and reopens a dilapidated zoo.

August 30:  Family Film.  The Lorax.  4:30 pm.  Community Room.  PG.  2011.  The well-known Dr. Seuss story about caring for the environment comes to life on screen.
