Anatomy of a Murder: Celebrating 50 Years

 2009 marks the 50th anniversary of the making of the film, Anatomy of a Murder, starring Jimmy Stewart,
Lee Remick, Ben Gazzara, and George C. Scott.  The 1959 film was based on the book of the same name, 
written by John D. Voelker under the pen name of Robert Traver.  The book was published in 1958,
and filming of the movie took place one year later in Marquette County.  To celebrate
"Marquette County's Taste of Hollywood," events have been planned in Big Bay, Ishpeming,
Marquette, and Michigamme, where scenes from the movie were filmed.
