Keweenaw Garden Club: Taming the Rain: Landscape Solutions to Stormwater Management

The Portage Lake District Library will host the Keweenaw Garden Club on Monday, September 17, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. for a presentation by certified Landscape Designer and Master Gardener at Michigan Technological University, Quincy Higgins Arney.

 

The public is invited to join Higgins Arney for a discussion on “Taming the Rain: Landscape Solutions to Stormwater Management.” Participants will learn landscape solutions that can help protect their garden, home, and neighborhood from the damaging effects of stormwater runoff. Quincy Higgins will introduce new concepts, design tricks, and construction techniques that focus on how to slow the flow.

 

The Keweenaw Garden Club was established by and for gardening enthusiasts. They have presentations at the Portage Lake District Library on the third Monday of each month, September through May. To learn more about the club, visit https://sites.google.com/site/keweenawgardenclub/
