Environmental Issues That Affect Us Globally and Locally

The Portage Lake District Library will host Michigan Tech School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science students for presentations about environmental issues affecting humans, ecosystems, and wildlife in the Upper Peninsula and around the globe. The students will present on Tuesday, December 4 from 6 – 8:30pm. Refreshments will be provided.

Students will give short IGNITE-style talks on a range of topics, including: Creative and informed land stewardship; important of pollinators; wildland-urban interface; diseases of trees and wildlife; and more.
