Superior Essential Classes in May

The Portage Lake District Library will host a series of essential oil classes in May that will be presented by Dr. Kemmy Taylor and Emily Betterly of Superior Essentials.
The classes are as follows:
Saturday, May 5, 12:00 p.m.
Participants will learn how scent stimulates nerves in the emotional center of the brain from which anxiety, depression, fear, anger, and joy all emanate. Oils that promote good brain health and mood management will be discussed. This class will take place in the library’s Michigan Room.
Wednesday, May 9, 5:30 p.m.
Essential Oils 101: Science, Sourcing and Safety
Participants will learn how essential oils work in the body, the chemistry behind them, the importance of sourcing, and the safe way to use them. This class will take place in the library’s community room.
Saturday, May 19, 12:00 p.m.
Supporting Your Gut with Fermented Foods, Wholefoods, and Essential Oils
Dr. Jinny Sirard along with the Superior Essentials team will discuss gut health. Topics include the importance of gut bacteria, how to balance and restore your gut health, easy, do-it-yourself protocol using essential oils to support gut health, and essential oil safety and application methods. This class will take place in the library’s community room.
Wednesday, May 23, 5:30 p.m.
Participants will learn how to use essential oils to relieve stress and help create more balance in their lives. This class will take place in the library’s community room.
All presentations will offer free health scans and complimentary resources and materials.
