“Do It for Daniel,” Documentary and Discussion about Anxiety, Depression, Suicide and Hope

“Do It for Daniel” is a documentary about Daniel Olson’s struggles with anxiety and depression which ultimately led him to take his life at age 19. The Olson family hopes to educate people and get rid of the stigma of mental illness so people understand that it is a common medical illness. They also want to give hope and create a dialogue so those who suffer don’t feel ashamed and aren’t afraid to ask for help, allowing for early recognition and intervention, which are so important in treating this disease.
