Lego Club

LEGO Club welcomes all children (and their parents) who love LEGOS, a sense of adventure, and being creative! Occurring on every 2nd Saturday of the month, we will explore different themes each month.  

This month’s theme is Monsters and Villains

Please bring a box or bag of LEGOS for your child to use.
At the end of each LEGO club there will be a drawing for prizes!

Back To School Open House

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month and to celebrate, The Friends of the Escanaba Public Library invite you to their Annual Back-to-School Open House on September14th! The event starts at 11:00 am at the Escanaba Public Library and includes fun events like storytelling, music, healthy snacks, free books and more. Those who attend can enter a drawing to win a free Chromebook!

This event is free and requires no registration. Free books are limited. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Escanaba Public Library. The Lorne Watson Quintet

Enjoy a night of music with the Lorne Watson Quintet. The jazz/contemporary ensemble includes Patrick Booth on saxophone, Phil Lynch on piano, Harry South on bass, Dave Ziegnler on guitar, and Lorne Watson on percussion. 

This event is free and sponsored by the Friends of the Escanaba Public Library.

Drop in on the 1st Saturday of the month at 1:00 p.m. for some screen-free family time fun! We provide the board games and craft items! Have a favorite game? Feel free to bring your own! All ages are welcomed and there is no sign-up required.

Music from West Africa and Beyond
Oct 9 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Sean Gaskell will present a concert of traditional songs on the Kora, a 21 string harp originating from West Africa.  Gaskell has studied extensively under the instruction of Malamini Jobarteh and Moriba Kuyateh, both of Gambia.  He has been featured at a number of music festivals in the U.S. Gambia and Senegal.

Wednesday Night Readers Bookclub

The Wednesday Night Readers Bookclub will be meeting this month on Thursday, October 10th at 6:30 p.m. and will be discussing the book title, Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult.

New members are always welcome. The group meets in the library’s book sale room.
