Adult Summer Reading Program
Jun 1 – Jul 31 all-day

Summer reading isn’t just for kids. You too can have fun by participating in the Adult Summer Reading Program, A Universe of Stories. The Program registration begins on June 1 and the program runs until July 31. Registration is open to those 18 and older with a valid library card. Participants can fill out weekly summer reading logs or share reading recommendations via book reviews and enter for a chance to win prizes.

A grand prize of a Kindle Fire will be awarded at the end of the program. Check our Facebook page and online catalog for reading suggestions.

Join us for a summer full of fun and reading during our Summer Reading Program 2019. Registration begins on June 17th and runs through the week.

Lunch Bunch
Jul 23 @ 11:30 am – 12:30 pm

Lunch Bunch is back this summer! Join other families for lunch on the patio (weather permitting). Stories and hands-on activities to follow in the story room for ages 4 to 10. Lunch Bunch is a free event. Please bring your own lunch. No registration is required.

Discovery Days

Explore with your curiosity this summer! Every week a new guest and project will have you discovering something new. Explore topics like yoga, robotics, sign language, astronomy, and slime! Discovery Days is a free event for ages 10 and up. No registration is required.

CANCELLED–Space Movie Matinee

Our free Space Movie Matinee starts today at 3:00 pm and we will be watching the movie 2001:Space Odyssey. Refreshments will be served, so bring a long a friend or two!

Super Stolie

Head down to the library for an afternoon of amusement and fun with singer Super Stolie! Super Stolie’s energetic, interactive performance will have you up and dancing!

This program is open to all ages and is a free event.

Under The Radar Michigan at the Escanaba Public Library

Ever wonder how two regular guys ended up with a popular PBS TV show and book that feature the cool people, places and things that make Michigan a great place to be? On July 31 at 6:30 p.m., the men of Under the Radar Michigan will make their way to the Escanaba Public Library to share their wild and exciting journey. Join Tom Daldin and Jim Edelman for an inspirational story of reinvention and discovery.

They’ll tell you how they do it, why they do it, and share great stories from their travels around Michigan. Be sure to bring your questions, your sense of adventure and humor, because when Tom and Jim start talking it’s a wild and crazy ride! Book Signing immediately to follow. Both the First 50 and Next 50 will be available for purchase.

All Strings Considered concert

Join us for some traditional, old-style music with All Strings Considered! They will soothe your day with a gentle waltz or tell a story with some fine harmony singing from the Blue Ridge Mountains.  An evening with All Strings Considered is a fun time for all ages!
