Bayliss Public Library has a collection of local and area photographs. A collection of miscellaneous photographs is located in locked vertical files in the Judge Joseph H. Steere Room.

The Regional Digitization Center was established by a federal Institute of Museum and Library Services grant to Michigan State University, the Making of Modern Michigan project. Digital collections from the Upper Peninsula and other regions of the state will be accessible through the Michigan eLibrary statewide catalog, MeLCat, at www.mel.org.
The of historic photos of Sault Ste. Marie, scanned photos from nine notebooks, is available for limited viewing by appointment through the Reference Librarian. A searchable index is available. A selection of photographs from this collection has been made available on-line by Bayliss Public Library. This collection will be available on our website very soon.
