The Bayliss Public Library Catalog is on-line and may be searched at card catalog terminals throughout the library as well as from any Internet location outside of the library. It contains listings for all holdings of Bayliss Public Library: books (circulating, reference, and Judge Joseph H. Steere Room), recorded books, DVDs, videos, and magazines.
In addition to books in our library, you can also find books located in libraries throughout the Upper Peninsula Regional Library Cooperative. Books may be borrowed from other regional libraries on request. See Services for more information on borrowing, and the Catalog section for instructions on how to use the Catalog to request materials from other libraries.
The catalog also provides links to other on-line reference tools. See other pages in this section for more details. You will find instructions on how to use the Card Catalog in the Catalog section.
Click on 'Search the Catalog' at the top right of any page of this website to go to the Catalog.
Bayliss Public Library provides free access to many on-line catalogs, databases, and information resources, both through our catalog and MeL, the Michigan E-Library. Some of these must be used in the library, but most may be accessed from home with either your Bayliss Public Library card or Michigan driver’s license. If an item is limited to in-library use (such as Ancestry Library Edition and Digital Sanborn Maps) or requires a library card or Michigan driver’s license, it is indicated in this section.
Library computers may also be used to search the Internet. You will find more information about using library computers for Internet access in our Services section.
If you need help using any of these resources, or are not sure which one to use to find information, the library staff is happy to help you. New resources are being added continuously, so be sure to ask if you do not find what you need.
