A library card is required to check out materials and may be obtained at the Circulation Desk. Children will need to bring a parent, grandparent or legal guardian to apply for a card. Parents may apply for a card without their child present.. They are free of charge to residents of our service area.
Children do not keep their library cards with them. Children's Library Cards are kept in the Children's room, on a cart next to the Children’s Librarian’s desk. Befor going to the Circulation Desk to check out books, children should first ask the Children's Librarian for their card. If she is not present, the child may ask at the Circulation Desk for their card. After books are checked out, Circulation staff will return the card to the Children’s Librarian.
Cards are valid for one year at which time cardholders may be required to verify address in order to renew the card.
