April 30, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friends of Bayliss Library will hold their last April Mini Used Book Sale in the library's lobby. The theme will be Children's books! Stock up on your reading and support Bayliss Library.
April 30, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sault Winter Farmers' Market. Vendors will include: Ski Country Farm (fresh spinach and kale, baked goods, jam), Ken Miller (water-themed paintings, prints, cards), Lloyd White (eggs, furs, woodcraft), Candace Blocher (wool products, yarn), Pam Lahti (mittens, hats), Carla Maier (crochet items, tutus), Dee Stevens (knitted items), Dick Timmer (maple syrup, maple nuts), Hank Jones (chain maille jewelry and ornaments), Friends of Bayliss Library (gently used gardening books and cookbooks and puzzles, note cards, tote bags), and possibly other vendors may join us.
April 30, 1 p.m. Family Movie, call 632-9331 for title of new animated feature. Sponsored by Soo Co-op Credit Union for Money Smart Week.

May 3, 2 p.m. Masterpiece Film Series, "Upstairs Downstairs." Free showing. Donations accepted. Light refreshments.
May 3, 6:30 p.m. People to People International will host Tracy Muckelbauer speaking about her trip to Peru. Free and open to the public.
May 5, 4:30 p.m. Chess Club will meet in the Children's Room.
May 5, 6-8 p.m. Visually Impaired Persons group will meet in the Community Room.
May 7, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sault Winter Farmers' Market. This will be the last of the season to be held indoors at Bayliss Library. The Summer Market will move outdoors to Ashmun and Portage later in May.
May 7, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friends of the Library will hold a massive VHS sale. Come get some great deals on children's and adult VHS tapes withdrawn from the library's collection. Help support Bayliss Library, your Superior District Library affiliate.
May 10, 1 p.m. Homeschool LEGO Club will meet in the Children's Room.
May 10, 2 p.m. Masterpiece Film Series, "Upstairs Downstairs." Free showing. Donations accepted. Light refreshments.
May 10, 7 p.m. Author and Registered Nurse Jaimee Gerrie will speak about her new book We are Gatekeepers: A Self-Reflective Leadership Challenge for Nurses at All Levels for National Nurses Week. Her book will be available for purchase and signing.
May 14, 10 a.m.-noon Creative Endeavors Support Group for Writers and Artists will meet in the main reading room.

May 18, 2-4 :30 p.m. Department of Insurance and Financial Services, free Health Insurance and Scam Alert workshops. Contact the library at 632-9331 of sjames@baylisslibrary.org to sign up.
May 19, 7 p.m. Superior Poetry Café, Wild Women of the U.P.: Janeen Rastall, Julie Brooks Barbour, Saara Myrene Raappana and Kathleen Heideman will read from their work. An open mic will follow.
May 21, noon Author Paula VanderMey will speak about her books in the Children’s Room.
May 24, 12-2 p.m. Creative Endeavors Support Group for Writers and Artists will meet in the Community Room.
