Thurs., 1 p.m. Fall Preschool Story Time 
Oct. 2, 6-8 p.m. Support Group for the Visually Impaired will host Rob Batho, Housing Manager, Chippewa Correctional Facility, who will speak about the leader dog program. Open to the public.
Oct. 4, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friends of Bayliss Used Book Sale will be held in the Community Room. Books of all kinds, videos, puzzles, etc. will be available. Help support your Superior Public Library affiliate!
Oct. 7, 4-8 p.m. Lord of the Gourd (Patrick Harrison) will return to the Children's Room to carve pumpkins and vegetables. Stop by to view his artwork in progress.
Oct. 7, 4-5 p.m. Special Pumpkin Storytime in the Children's Room. Debbie Lehman will read books and have a craft for the children..
Oct. 7, 7 p.m. Author Jim DuFresne will speak about "the Island and the Lady: The Wonder of  Isle Royale National Park." His books will be available for purchase and signing. Friends of the Library will provide refreshments.
Oct. 9, 7 p.m. Superior Poetry Cafe and open mic. LSSU professor Mary McMyne will be the featured poet. Her new book will be available for purchase and signing. The public may bring their own work to share at the open mic.
Oct. 11, 1 p.m. The Lego Club will meet in the Children's Room.
Oct. 11, 1 p.m. Saturday Matinee. Free movie; popcorn by donation. Call 632-9331 for title of new release. Shown through Movie Licensing USA.
Oct. 14, 1 p.m. Homeschool Lego Club will meet in the Children's Room.
Oct. 14, 6-7 p.m. League of Women Voters EUP will hold a Pros & Cons Ballot Measure Presentation.
Oct. 15, 7 p.m. War Memorial Hospital Community Education Series, Dr. James Surrell will speak about  "Sugar in the Diet."
Oct. 16, 6:30 p.m. Forum on DNR Land Sales presentation by Kerry Wieber, Michigan Department of Natural Resources Forest Land Administrator, sponsored by Sierra Club Three Lakes Group and other interested groups.

Oct. 21, 10:30 a.m. & 5:30 p.m. League of Women Voters EUP is holding Poll Observer Training in the main library area. The training is about 2 hours in length.
Oct. 21, 12-2 p.m. Creative Endeavors Support Group will meet in the Community Room.
Oct. 21, 7 p.m. Chippewa County Genealogical Society, "Researching Local Histories."
Oct. 22, 7 p.m. Chippewa County Historical Society, Gaylord National Weather Service Forecasters David Lawrence and Michael Boguth will speak about "Historic Weather Events of Michigan's Upper Peninsula." Please enter by the front door.

Oct. 23, 7 p.m. Sault Ste. Marie City Manager Oliver Turner will hold office hours.
Oct. 23, 7 p.m. Bayliss Book Club will meet.
Oct. 24 Library is CLOSED for EUP Regional Library Staff Training.
Oct. 28, 6-8 p.m. Sault Yarn Workers Guild will meet.
Oct. 29, 2 p.m. Bayliss Book Chat discussion group will meet and discuss what they have been reading. Open to the public. Stop by and chat while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea.
