June 23, 3 p.m. Blues Poetry Workshop with MI Notable Author M.L. Liebler, sponsored by the Library of Michigan Foundation and the Michigan Humanities Council, along with Meijer. The Friends of Bayliss will provide refreshments.
June 23, 7 p.m. MI Notable Author M.L. Liebler and Friends in Concert, sponsored by the Library of Michigan Foundation and the Michigan Humanities Council, along with Meijer. They will perform the music of Detroit, from Blues to Rap. For all ages. Books and CDs will be available for purchase and signing. The Friends of Bayliss will provide refreshments.

July 27, 7 p.m. Christian Historic Romance Author Carrie Fancett Pagels will speak and sign books. Some of her books are set in the U.P. You may purchase her books at area bookstores.
July 29, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. 3rd Annual Antique and Collectible Appraisals Event with Mark F. Moran of Iola, WI, who has appeared on PBS's Antiques Roadshow. He will verbally appraise most items (not weapons) for $10 each. Register and pre-pay at the library--space is limited. Ask for the list of items he will and will not appraise. You may also just join us and watch Mr. Moran in action for as long as you like. Refreshments provided.
